The burbling terror of Carroll's poem, lurking at the far edge of the first game — and a deliberate signpost toward BLACK SOULS II's Wonderland. Only 17.5% of players have slain it.
Where and when
Jabberwock is an optional late-game hunt in Wonderland. It is found through the north-west hole and riverbank route, and its corpse can disappear after a specific endgame completion state.
Location
Wonderland, beyond the north-west hole on the riverbank route; interact with the corpse to begin the fight.
Prerequisites
- Reach Wonderland and the north-west riverbank path.
- Fight before completing every ultimate skill and Ending D if you need the encounter in this cycle.
Attack cues and responses
Loadout
- Bring a finished late-game weapon, a full healing stock, and answers to both physical and status pressure.
- Create a branch save before the fight if you also need Vernai's Moonlight Greatsword summon flag.

Route risks
- The corpse disappears after all ultimate skills and Ending D are complete.
- Defeating Jabberwock without summoning Vernai permanently misses that Moonlight Greatsword flag for the cycle.

Jabberwock is deep-route content: it sits in the rarest fifth of BLACK SOULS boss achievements, alongside the Cursed Siblings and the saint fights.
Treat it as a gear-and-preparation check. If the Cursed Brother Hansel and Cursed Sister Gretel fights felt fair, you are ready; if not, finish more character routes first.
Lore note: together with Bandersnatch (30.6%), the Jabberwock is one of two Looking-Glass beasts planted in the first game before the sequel commits fully to Carroll.
