Mabel, Girl of Nihility, is threaded through BLACK SOULS II as a voice, a Chaos Dungeon bartender, a Winterbell drunk, a boss, and the person standing between you and Leiden. None of her three tracked events are on the critical path to Alice End — all three are easy to miss.

Why this character matters
Mabel is not one linear quest. Her wine-house meeting, boss reward, and Leiden intervention are three separate missables spread across different progression layers.
This makes her a good example of BLACK SOULS II's cycle design: meeting the character once does not protect the other events, and one mystery reward choice is available per cycle.
Plan this route
- Track the Winterbell wine event, the boss reward, and Leiden's survival as separate checklist items.
- Choose the mystery reward before the fight; selecting an item means postponing the night-sky achievement to another cycle.
- Do not enter the Lion's Fort sequence until the Leiden rescue state is confirmed.
Route — pick your spoiler level
No spoilers
- She is not a first-hour NPC. Early glimpses are in the optional dungeon; her named home is a late DLC castle.
- Three independent missables: a wine, a boss reward, a side character's life.
- The boss reward is a one-pick list. Read it before you confirm.
- DLC3 (her castle) requires Ending G in a previous cycle.
Hints — locations and requirements, no plot
- Chaos Dungeon: library and bar. She also stands in the room behind a boss fog you are about to enter.
- Winterbell: enter houses. The wine room is a single flooded interior.
- Hlanith Wine: bonus action for the rest of the fight, not consumed.
- Leiden first, Lion's Fort second. Unis (the Unicorn) is a later spare/kill in the same thread.
- Carnacki in Winterbell's Throne Room is a separate 14.6% event — clasp his shoulder.
Full steps — plot spoilers
- 1.Optional anytime after Chaos Dungeon unlocks: speak to Mabel in the dungeon bar / library. Note the fog-door appearances so you are not surprised by the fight.
- 2.For the castle: obtain Ending G, start a new cycle, take the new DLC3 paths (Pond of Bloody Tears is a junction) to Winterbell.
- 3.At the gate, exhaust her dialogue. Inside, clear the wine house for Hlanith Wine.
- 4.When Leiden is in danger, choose the option that saves her. Then talk to Leiden at Lion's Fort.
- 5.After the Mabel boss, save, then pick the night-sky reward if you want that achievement. Reload for an item if you need the other.
- 6.Throne Room: Carnacki. Beach/other DLC3 beats are not required for Mabel's three achievements.
When to do what
| When | Where | Do this |
|---|---|---|
| Any later cycle | Chaos Dungeon — library, bar, chess | Talk. She repeats behind fog doors of bosses you have not fought yet. |
| After Ending G, next cycle | DLC3 road to Winterbell | When she appears at the castle gate, you are in her named chapter. |
| Inside Winterbell | Wine-flooded house | Pick up Hlanith Wine. Do not skip the house — it looks like flavour. |
| Before Lion's Fort | Winterbell approach / Mabel encounter with Leiden | Interfere. Leiden must survive. |
| After her boss fight | Reward prompt | Save first. Night-sky achievement vs item rewards are exclusive. |
What closes the route
- Skipping the wine house in Winterbell.
- Confirming a non-night-sky mystery reward (achievement waits until another cycle).
- Letting Leiden die before Lion's Fort.
- Never rolling Ending G, so Winterbell never opens.

Notes
Winterbell wine house: she is on the floor of a room flooded with wine. Talk to her there for Hlanith Wine (Humanity's Finest Creation, 18.1%) — a reusable bonus-action item.
Boss: she waits behind certain boss fogs and in Chaos Dungeon. After the fight you get one mystery reward. "Show me the night sky" (19.3%) is one option; other options give items instead. One choice per cycle.
Leiden: save her from Mabel before Lion's Fort. If Leiden dies, The Lion and the Unicorn… (12%) is closed for the cycle.
Winterbell itself is DLC3, which unlocks on the cycle after Ending G. You can still meet dungeon-Mabel earlier.
