Route overview
Miranda is a Karma-gated combat recruitment rather than a long conversation chain. Defeat her in the Tainted Bog, choose the companion outcome, then use the standard level-99 ending branch.
Before you start
- Raise Karma to at least 5 before entering the Tainted Bog.
- Approach from a route that lets you search the central stone-pillar area rather than rushing directly to Frog Princess.
- Prepare for a high-attack opponent whose ordinary attacks are accurate and whose counters punish careless physical hits.
What closes the route
- Entering without Karma 5 prevents Miranda from appearing.
- Choosing imprisonment instead of recruitment removes the companion ending option.
- Below level 99 she will not be listed in the companion-fog ending choices.
Encounter order
| When | Where | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Karma 5+ | Tainted Bog, near the stone pillars | Find Black Executioner Miranda and win the encounter. |
| Post-fight choice | Same location | Choose the companion outcome rather than imprisonment. |
| Development | Holy Forest | Feed Miranda souls to level 99; her role is a direct physical attacker rather than a broad skill learner. |
| Ending branch | Cinderella's throne fog | Select level-99 Miranda after Cinderella. |
Rewards and outcomes
- Miranda joins with high attack, accurate normal attacks, and physical counters
- Black Souls from the initial encounter
- Miranda End achievement
First-hand capture still required
- Karma 4 versus 5 spawn comparison
- Post-fight recruitment choice
- Level-99 ending selection
Why this character matters
Miranda's route is notable for what it lacks: there is no separate boss achievement carrying her name. Its difficulty comes from repeated meetings and choices rather than a final combat gate.
That makes her a useful companion objective for a cycle already devoted to a difficult boss route, provided her conversational checkpoints are not overlooked.
Plan this route
- Reach the Tainted Bog with the required Sin state and note when Miranda first becomes available.
- Revisit her after each major progression beat because conversational lines can close quietly.
- Pair her ending with a combat-heavy objective, but do not let the boss route replace her return visits.
