A letter that gives the game's Florence Nightingale story its ending — but only after you have defeated her.
Give Blackwell's Letter to Florence after the fight to unlock "The Nightingale" (16.7%). The name pairs Florence Nightingale with Elizabeth Blackwell, the first woman to receive a medical degree — one of the game's historical-women threads.
Exact pickup route
Blackwell's Letter is the final proof item in Florence's route. Blackwell must be met before the Diversion Beast removes him, revisited at Ripon Cathedral before the late progression cutoff, and his letter collected at progression 10 before the next event advances.
Location
Letter pickup beside the Ripon Cathedral bonfire at progression 10; it is later delivered to Florence after her fight.
Prerequisites
- At SEN 31 or higher, meet Blackwell in the alley above the Lutwidge tavern before defeating the Diversion Beast.
- After the beast, speak to Blackwell at Ripon Cathedral before progression 9/10 closes the setup.
- Reach progression 10 and pick up the letter beside the bonfire before triggering another event.

- Fighting Florence without the letter means the handover must wait for a new cycle.
