Rule Meaning
A–E One per cycle. Shared gate: 10 torches on the Library Dream white door — except B, which is taken with Node after nine max covenants.
F / G Hidden route on a later cycle. Prep can (and should) happen during an earlier cycle at SEN ≤ 0.
H DLC3. Requires G in a previous cycle. Two variants (Hell / Heartbroken) share one achievement.
Saves Library Dream before the white door; after Dinah before Kill/stay; Node’s room for B; hidden-route fork for F vs G; before Grand Guignol for H.

Ending A — Alice End39.1% · cycle 1+

The most completed ending of BLACK SOULS II and the intended first-cycle finish. Unlocks "And a round of applause!".

Save: Library Dream white door / after Dinah · Conflicts: Only one of A, B, C, D, E per cycle

No spoilers

  • First-cycle target. Reach story progression 10 (torches over the white door in Library Dream).
  • Win the door's guardian fight, then choose to stay with Alice rather than attacking.
  • Only one of A–E can be collected per cycle — save before the door.
Hints — locations and requirements, no plot
  • Light 10 progression torches above the white door. This is the shared gate for A–E.
  • Behind the door: defeat Tearing Beast Dinah (the Cheshire Cat's beast form).
  • After the fight, choose the option to remain with Alice (the game labels it as an intimate covenant).
  • Save in Library Dream before opening the door, and again before the Alice choice, if you want C/D/E from the same file.
Full steps — plot spoilers
  1. 1.Play until Library Dream shows 10 torches on the white door.
  2. 2.Save. Open the door, defeat Dinah.
  3. 3.Choose to stay with Alice. Credits = Alice End (A). Do not pick Kill (D/E) and do not lose (C).

Ending B — Born End22% · cycle 1+

"Down the Rabbit's Hole" — Ending B (Birth). Requires maxing a specific set of Wonderland covenants, then finishing Node's scene. Rarer than A/C/D/E because of the covenant grind, not because it is a later cycle.

Save: Node's room — after all listed covenants are Lv3 · Conflicts: Only one of A, B, C, D, E per cycle; B is taken with Node, not at the white door

No spoilers

  • A first-cycle-legal ending, but it needs nine specific covenants at max rank in the same cycle.
  • Taken with Node, not at the white door. Dead partners still count if you maxed them before they died.
  • Conflicts with A/C/D/E in the same cycle.
Hints — locations and requirements, no plot
  • Raise Covenant to Lv3 with: White Rabbit Node, Lizard Bill, Foolish Bird Dodo, Caterpillar Shisha, Duchess Margaret, Hatta the Hatter, Mock Turtle, Wolris the Walrus, Tweedle Twins.
  • Covenant rank rises through repeated rest/covenant scenes at each character's home.
  • When all nine are Lv3, talk to Node, pick Covenant, then the rest option, and yield in the following dialogue.
  • If Node is the last one you max, leave the room and come back.
Full steps — plot spoilers
  1. 1.Through the cycle, visit each listed character and raise Covenant to Lv3. They do not all need to be alive at the end.
  2. 2.Save outside Node's room. If Node was last, exit and re-enter.
  3. 3.Covenant → rest → keep yielding in dialogue. Credits = Born End (B).

Ending C — Catastrophe End35.3% · cycle 1+

A major ending on the destructive branch. Lose the white-door guardian fight. Unlocks "Torn Apart".

Save: Before the Dinah fight · Conflicts: Only one of A, B, C, D, E per cycle

No spoilers

  • Same white door as Alice End. Lose the guardian fight instead of winning.
  • Easiest extra ending to grab from a save sitting in front of the door.
Hints — locations and requirements, no plot
  • Reach progression 10, open the white door, fight Dinah, and die / give up the fight.
  • Save before the fight if you also want A, D or E from reloads.
Full steps — plot spoilers
  1. 1.Progression 10, save, open the white door.
  2. 2.Fight Dinah and lose. Credits = Catastrophe End (C).

Ending D — Death End29% · cycle 1+

An ending reached by winning the door fight and choosing to kill while still sane. Unlocks "Ad lib".

Save: After Dinah, before the Kill / stay choice · Conflicts: Only one of A, B, C, D, E per cycle; SEN 0 or less turns the same choice into E

No spoilers

  • Win the white-door fight, then choose to kill rather than stay.
  • Your SEN at that moment decides Death vs Exclusion. Keep SEN above 0 for Death.
Hints — locations and requirements, no plot
  • Defeat Dinah. Choose Kill. SEN must be greater than 0.
  • If you have been running SEN 0 for memories/Red Hood, raise SEN before this choice or you will get E instead.
Full steps — plot spoilers
  1. 1.Progression 10, save, defeat Dinah.
  2. 2.Confirm SEN > 0. Choose Kill. Credits = Death End (D).

Ending E — Exclusion End29% · cycle 1+

The 0-SEN kill branch after Dinah. Unlocks "Curiouser and curiouser!". The follow-up boss depends on which Alice you picked at the start of the cycle.

Save: After Dinah, SEN 0, before Kill · Conflicts: Only one of A, B, C, D, E per cycle; losing the follow-up fight is not an ending

No spoilers

  • Same Kill choice as Death End, but only at SEN 0 or less.
  • A second fight starts. Winning it is the ending; losing it dumps you to the title screen with no ending.
Hints — locations and requirements, no plot
  • Defeat Dinah at SEN ≤ 0 and choose Kill.
  • The extra opponent depends on the Alice chosen at cycle start: Daughter → The Black One; Little Sister → Shadow Demoness; Mother → Elk Goddess.
  • Unlike Dinah, losing this second fight is not Catastrophe — it is just a game over.
Full steps — plot spoilers
  1. 1.Drop SEN to 0 or below (Black Souls items, horror events). Save.
  2. 2.Progression 10, defeat Dinah, choose Kill.
  3. 3.Win the Alice-form fight. Credits = Exclusion End (E).

Ending F — Fairy End18.6% · cycle 2+

"Tragedy Ever After" — hidden-route Ending F. Side with Leaf in the extra area that opens on a later cycle.

Save: Hidden route fork — side with Leaf · Conflicts: G End (Red Hood side) on the same fork; Leaf's Ring is consumed after F or G

No spoilers

  • Not available on a blind first cycle. Needs a completed A–E ending plus a set of 0-SEN collectibles and meetings.
  • On the next cycle you skip the usual Alice pick. Inside, you choose Leaf or Red Hood — this ending is Leaf.
  • The ring is removed after you finish F or G.
Hints — locations and requirements, no plot
  • In a preparation cycle at SEN ≤ 0: inspect all 6 Scattered Memories (Carroll River, Ox Ward University, Endless Tea Party, Queensland, Beach of Grief, Red Castle Frissel croquet grounds).
  • Have 10 unique Red Hood meetings at SEN 0 (bonfires after the first Lutwidge sighting). Finish her beach event.
  • Have Leaf's Ring in inventory (Mary Ann's peaceful handover in the Queensland sealed jail after Prickett's route).
  • Finish any A–E ending. Next cycle, interact with the prism in Library Dream instead of picking a standard Alice.
  • When Leaf and Red Hood oppose each other, side with Leaf and win the fight that follows.
Full steps — plot spoilers
  1. 1.SEN ≤ 0. Collect 6 memories at the locations above. Talk to Red Hood at 10 distinct bonfires/events; save her in east Lutwidge and accept the beach mark.
  2. 2.Get Leaf's Ring from Mary Ann (Leaf) in Queensland: advance Prickett, defeat the paired ruler encounter, enter the east/right sealed jail, and leave peacefully. Keep it in inventory; equipping is not required.
  3. 3.Roll any A–E ending. Start the new cycle from the Library Dream prism (cancel/back out of the Alice picker if needed) and choose Alice Liddell when it appears.
  4. 4.Progress the hidden area (Little Girl's Nightmare). At the Leaf / Red Hood choice, side with Leaf. Defeat Little Girl Alice. Credits = Fairy End (F).

Ending G — Good End29.2% · cycle 2+

"Happily Ever After" — hidden-route Ending G. Side with Red Hood. Required before DLC3 / Ending H.

Save: Hidden route fork — side with Red Hood · Conflicts: F End (Leaf side) on the same fork

No spoilers

  • Same hidden-route setup as Fairy End. This is the Red Hood side of the fork.
  • You must have finished an A–E ending already. G is the gate to Winterbell / DLC3.
  • Losing the final hidden-route fight is a different, unnamed ending — save first.
Hints — locations and requirements, no plot
  • Same prep as F: 6 memories at SEN ≤ 0, 10 Red Hood meetings, Leaf's Ring, then any A–E ending, then the Library Dream prism.
  • Side with Red Hood against Leaf.
  • Win the fight against the Crawling Little Girls. Losing that fight is the unnamed Crawling Girls ending, not G.
  • DLC3 areas appear on the cycle after G.
Full steps — plot spoilers
  1. 1.Complete the hidden-route prep listed under Fairy End.
  2. 2.In Little Girl's Nightmare, side with Red Hood. Save.
  3. 3.Defeat the Crawling Little Girls. Credits = Good End (G). Do not offer your soul / give up later in DLC3 if you still need H.

Ending H — Hell & Heartbroken End18.1% · cycle 3+

The rarest tracked ending — "Happiest Day of my Life". DLC3 finale after Ending G. Heartbroken if Prickett's Ring is in inventory; Hell if it is not.

Save: After Grand Guignol — inventory decides Hell vs Heartbroken · Conflicts: Offering your soul to Grand Guignol is a different unnamed ending

No spoilers

  • Requires Ending G in a previous cycle, then the third DLC.
  • Two tracked variants share this achievement: one with a specific ring, one without.
  • H can still be taken after another ending in the same cycle. Do not offer your soul to the DLC3 final god.
Hints — locations and requirements, no plot
  • After G, start a new cycle — two new DLC3 routes open toward Winterbell.
  • Finish DLC3 and defeat Grand Guignol. Offering your soul, or giving up after a loss, is the unnamed Grand Guignol ending, not H.
  • If Prickett's Ring is in the inventory, you get Heartbroken; otherwise Hell.
  • True ending names after credits are visible at SEN ≤ 0.
Full steps — plot spoilers
  1. 1.Obtain Ending G. On the next cycle, enter DLC3 (the new paths after G).
  2. 2.Play through Winterbell / Grand Guignol. Save before the god.
  3. 3.Defeat Grand Guignol. Keep Prickett's Ring for Heartbroken; leave it out for Hell. Credits = H.

Cycle plan that matches the flags

Cycle Target Prep you can do in the same cycle
1 A (Alice). Optional save-scum C then D or E from the door. Light bonefires. Collect tales casually. If you want F/G next, run SEN 0 for memories and Red Hood meetings before you take the door.
1 alt B (Born) instead of A Nine Covenant Lv3 partners. Do not also take the white door.
2 F or G Prism in Library Dream, not the Alice picker. Side with Leaf (F) or Red Hood (G). Save at the fork.
3 H DLC3 after G. Defeat Grand Guignol. Prickett’s Ring in inventory = Heartbroken; without it = Hell. Do not offer your soul.

Keep failable quests (Vernai, Griffy, Gerda/Kai, Leiden) alive if you still need their items. Log endings in the Ending Checker — it now lists what’s still missing as requirements, not just a name.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many endings does BLACK SOULS II have?

The Steam version tracks 8: A Alice, B Birth (Born), C Catastrophe, D Death, E Exclusion, F Fairy, G Good, H Hell & Heartbroken. DLC3 also has unnamed Grand Guignol and Crawling Girls variants that share no Steam ending achievement.

Can I get more than one of A–E in the same cycle?

No. One of A, B, C, D, E per cycle. Save in Library Dream before the white door (and before Node's final scene if you are going for B) and reload. F/G are the next cycle. H can still be taken after another ending in the same DLC3 cycle.

What is the best first ending?

Alice End (A). It is the intended first-cycle finish (39.1%). B is legal on cycle 1 but needs nine max covenants. F/G need a finished A–E ending plus 0-SEN prep. H needs G first.

Do I need 0 SEN for every ending?

No. A and C ignore SEN. D needs SEN above 0. E, the six memories, and Red Hood's ten meetings need SEN 0 or less. True names after credits also need SEN ≤ 0.
