How to get it
No spoilers
- Available on cycle 1 if you keep her route open.
- An early extra conversation can switch you onto the darker variant.
- A special Leaf-only variant exists after C End in the same cycle.
Hints — locations and requirements, no plot
- Meet her in north Holy Forest at the start and keep her as a companion.
- Feed souls to level 99. After the princesses, touch the fog with Leaf.
- Do not talk to her at the Gate of the Lost Empire more than twice if you want the standard (good) variant.
- The ring she can hand you before Fort Ivern forces the bad companion ending for whoever you take into the fog.
Full steps — plot spoilers
- 1.Start: north Holy Forest, talk to Leaf and recruit. Revisit after bosses.
- 2.Avoid the third conversation at the Lost Empire gate. If she offers her talisman/ring, taking it flags the bad variant.
- 3.Level her to 99 via Soul Feed. Finish the princess route as for B End.
- 4.Save. Touch the fog with Leaf. For her unique bad ending: complete Ending C first, then touch the fog with her without starting a new cycle (Leaf's Ring not required for that variant).

Leaf is the first companion most players meet in BLACK SOULS and the face of its most-completed character ending (28%). In BLACK SOULS II, Mary Ann (Leaf) gives one ring in Queensland; that same item unlocks the achievement and gates the hidden F/G route.
